Six month’s course in Tailoring and Fashion Designing

Beneficiaries in a year: about 50 No.s

Most of the women completing the six months course become self-supporting and earn about Rs.7,000 to Rs.10,000 per month.

We also have a 'Tailoring and Fashion Designing Unit' as an income generation activity for the needy women. Our team under a tailoring master, has been successfully completing orders for embroidered cotton/ silk handbags, mobile holders, greeting cards etc.

Aarogya Sathi Program

Beneficiaries in a year: about 450 No.s

We arrange in-house training for three months at Jagruti and another three months practical training at a renowned hospital. Qualified and experienced nurses and doctros teach theory and conduct practical training. A soft skill development program is also conducted for the students. Students who have completed this course get jobs in hospitals and clinics. They earn about Rs.7,000 to Rs.18,000 per month. Jagruti also conducts this program in nearby remote villages like Karle, Shilatane, Saigaon, Kacharewadi, Bhigwan, Khairewadi, Chikhalse, Baur, Kondiwadi, Pimpaloli, Waksai, Devghare, Vawoshi etc.

Aya (Nurse Aid) Training

Beneficiaries in a year: about 60 No.s

The course consist of basic practical training to work as bedside assistants in hospitals and at home. The teachers are experienced and trained nurses. On completion they now earn about Rs.7,000 to Rs.18,000 per month.

Basic Beautician’s Course

Beneficiaries in a year: about 25 No.s

An expert and experienced beautician conducts this course of three months. On completion they earn about Rs.5,000 to Rs.10,000 per month by working in a parlour or by doing home visits.

Counseling and Support Center

This is to support family and marital issues. When necessary, the cases are referred to the expert panel consisting of Doctor, Lawyer, Chartered Accountant and Bank Manager. Jagruti also conducts programs to familiarize women of their rights and women’s protection laws for violence against them.
